site specific : Passenger of time

Passenger of time is a display of labor and time that is spent commuting. I created simple knots while I went to and from work for three weeks. I did not knot while going to social activities. The piece consists of six 10 meter ropes.

There are very few things that can be done on public transport, and even less while driving. While we are being told that our time is valuable and limited, we are forced to spend hours commuting to work, without any compensation for our time lost. The pandemic has proven that working in person isn't a necessity, and yet life has returned to hour long commutes and early morning traffic.

I am debating its title between "How long is your commute" and "Passenger in time". Would like to hear your thoughts on them.
